I have been working with personal injury and medical malpractice attorneys, both plaintiff and defense, for 20 years and I can honestly say that it is very very rare that I am approached with any request that could be interpreted as unethical. The media likes to sensationalize these isolated instances, but people should be reassured that the great majority of attorneys behave with the highest ethical standards.
